It's been almost 6 days since I moved into my new apartment here at 353 N. Des Plaines St.  Only 2 people (including myself) live in the whole building (which has over 200 units in it's 39 floors).  Well, there is a reason for this... the building is brand new.  The grand opening occurred on May 1st, the day I moved in.

But I await the completion of the workout room, BBQ grills, and pool.  The media room, social area, and billiards table are good to go.  Oh yes, I'm also awaiting the arrival of my sofa from Ikea.  I'm starting to get tired of standing and sitting on the floor.

One thing I haven't figured out yet is if my building is considered West Loop or River North/West?  The northern most intersection is Kinzie and Milwaukee.  The southern-most intersection is Des Plaines and Fulton.  I'll have to ask the building people what they think it is.

This is my first post on Vox.  I've heard good things about it, but wanted to give it a test run.  I've tried many blog services over the years:
